Cheap Things To Do In Vancouver In April!

April showers bring May flowers… and a list of things to do, from us at least. Here's our monthly list of fun, cheap, and unique things to check out in Vancouver during April. As always, let us know what events you're planning on going to and make sure to wear your Vancouver, we love you shirt at them!

April 5 - UBC Band's Postcard from the America concert!
The UBC Band presents the final of five concerts in their year long "Postcards" series. Postcards from the America features the UBC Symphonic Wind Ensemble, UBC Concert Winds, and UBC Opera Ensemble. Held at The Chan Center for the Performing Arts at 8pm, this is a FREE event and open to all ages. If you don't live in Vancouver, or are too lazy to leave your couch, the concert will also be available via livestream, right here!

April 6 - Terminal City Roller Girls Season 6 Opener Doubleheader!
We are super excited to be able to include this event in our listings again... we love the Terminal City Roller Girls! The TCRG have been huge supporters of our project and we're pleased to be able to support them as well again this season. Make sure to come out to the season opener and experience the excitement of roller derby! Season 6 kicks off with The Bad Reputations battling against the Riot Girls and the Faster Pussycats taking on Public Frenemy. Two bouts, one low price! Tickets and full details here.

April 5- 28 - Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival!
Something special happens when the cherry blossoms around the city start to bloom… Vancouver becomes even more beautiful than it already is. So, we celebrate. There are a number of events happening across the city to mark this blossoming including the Cherry Jam, Sakura Days Japan Fair, and others. For a full listing of events and information about the entire festival, click here. Throw on one of our shirts and make sure to snap some photos around the city during cherry tree blossoming season to send to us!

April 15 - Vancouver Sun Run!
A Vancouver staple, the Vancouver Sun Run is the best sign that spring has arrived. The run boasts the record for the largest 10K run in Canada but it's no surprise… who wouldn't want to run around Vancouver on a (hopefully) sunny day! If you're a runner and not yet registered it's not too late to sign up here. If you're more of a supporter than participant come out and cheer on all the athletes!

April 17-18 Nifty for Fifty Sale!
Fashionistas, bargain finders, and everyone in between… the third annual Nifty for Fifty Sale is back! Held at Main Street's Heritage Hall this fun event sees over 25 local designers and artists selling their clothing, accessories, and trinkets all for $50 or less. Look through racks for great finds by Vancouver's finest indie designers including Adhesif Clothing, Allison Wonderland, Erin Templeton, Daub & Design, Kdon, Irit Sorokin Designs, and many more. Admission is only a $1 at the door.

If you have an upcoming event you'd like us to help promote, please email us! We love hearing from you.
