Easy Long Weekend Hikes In Vancouver

One of the best things about living in Vancouver are the multitude of amazing hikes/walks that are at our finger tips… errr… feet. Even though the weather's getting cooler and the day's are getting shorter it's still a great time to get out there and explore a new trail or two on a brisk sunny afternoon. Here are our three 'Adventure Time' suggestions to try this long weekend. They're all easy, fairly flat, and perfect for anyone's afternoon adventure.

Stanley Park Seawall - if you've yet to take a stroll around the seawall you're missing out on one of Vancouver's best features. Do it this weekend! Rent a bike, throw on some rollerblades, or just walk the 10K seaside path and enjoy the fantastic views of downtown and the North Shore. You can also always jump onto one of the many paths that criss-cross through Stanley Park if you feel like exploring the forest.

Lynn Valley Canyon - The North Shore's free suspension bridge and trail. During the summer it's great for cliff jumping and wading by the water but there are a number of great trails to wander down even in cooler weather.

Capilano Pacific Trail - It's all downhill from here for this trail. Literally. This trail goes from the Cleveland watershed in North Vancouver all the way down to the ocean at Ambleside Park in West Vancouver. 15K of beautiful trail along the Capilano River.

Do you plan on checking out any of these hikes? Wear your Vancouver, we love you shirt and take some photos for us to post right here! For more information on local trails check out Vancouver Trails.
