Send A Box Of Love This Christmas

There's nothing better than being generous, especially during the holiday season. It's easy to get wrapped up in the hustle and bustle of trying to find the perfect gifts for loved ones and forget that millions of people don't get to celebrate Christmas the same way we do.

Operation Christmas Child helps bring Christmas cheer to children living in developing communities that can't afford presents, or just the basics. Over 664,000 shoe boxes were filled with toys, hygiene items, school supplies, and candy by Canadians last year. Packing a shoe box is great opportunity to create a tangible impact in the world, and Operation Christmas Child is perfect to do solo, with family, or a group of friends. Being able to select the age and gender of the child you buy for is a great way for young children to practice generosity and help kids just like them.

We decided to get in on the fun because it's almost too easy not to. Choosing a girl aged 2-4, we packed up fun items that some little adventurer in a developing country is sure to love.

How To Join Operation Christmas Child: Find a shoebox. Fill it with awesome items for whatever age and gender of child you choose. Throw in a donation of $7 to cover processing costs of getting it delivered overseas. Drop it off at a collection centre. Done!
