Cheap Things To Do In Vancouver In October!

After our summer long "Cheap Things To Do List" hiatus we're back with our monthly listing of fun, unique, and cheap things to do around Vancouver. Wear your Vancouver, we love you shirt out to any of these local events and make sure to take some pictures to share with us!

October 1: Pedigree Adoption Drive Campaign Adoption Tour!
Have you been thinking of making a furry addition to your family? Want to learn how you can help shelter dogs by adopting, volunteering, and donating to local animal shelters? Or just pet some dogs that will be happy to see you? Check out the Pedigree Adoption Drive Campaign Adoption Tour at the Toronto Dominion Plaza (700 West Georgia St.) from 11am-5pm and meet some four legged friends that need a little love and a good home. The event is free but we can't guarantee you won't leave with a new pal!

October 4: International Education Fair!
We're not advocating anyone leaving Vancouver permanently but it's always good to explore new places and engage in new cultures. The International Education Fair is a great place for university students and young adults to find out about undergrad and postgrad programs abroad. Learn about other travel options such as volunteering, working abroad, internships, and adventure travel! Free admission and free information seminars through the day. The International Education Fair runs from 1pm-6pm at the New Vancouver Convention Centre West (999 Canada Place).

October 5- Vancouver International Improv Festival!
Remember how amazing Who's Line Is It Anyways was? Ahh improv. For over a decade, the Vancouver International Improv Festival has been bringing the world's best improvisers to Vancouver for a week of shows and workshops. This year boasts 20 shows of comedic and improv brilliance! Brilliant! Ticket pricing varies.

October 15- Fright Nights At The PNE!
Booooooooo! A Vancouver favorite, Fright Nights is one of the city's biggest Halloween attractions. Themed rides, creepy attractions, haunted houses, Hollywood Horrors, crazy live shows, and more! Tickets range from $28-33. For more info or to purchase tickets online click here.

October 29- Thrill The World Vancouver!
Thriller fans, this one's for you! Every year people from around the world dance to Michael Jackson's Thriller at the exact same date and time. The event even includes the third annual zombie costume contest! $10 donation for charity. For more information click here.
