Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival!

Last night some of the Vancouver, we love you crew were invited to check out the Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival, and we had a blast. Put on by the Vancouver Playhouse, the festival showcased 180 wineries from fifteen countries.

Marking it's 34th year with the Theme Region Wines of Chile and a Global Focus on Cabernet(s), the Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival runs from February 27th to March 4th at the Vancouver Convention Centre. It was a great opportunity to expand our wine appreciation and experience samples of award winning wines (and sake!) from around the world. Although not able to try every wine (impossible in one evening), we were able to taste a great selection from various countries such as Australia, Italy, Chile, and Germany (which had our favourite of the night, the Deinhard Green Label Riesling). Also, the event showcases certain wines that are only available for purchase onsite at the event, so it gave us the chance to stock up on some the best wines of the world!

Warning - do not plan on driving after the event. There is a reason why they strongly suggest alternative ways to get home! Tickets are still available here, so if you're interested in wines make sure to check out this great event!
